Day 1 (Feb 15): Community/Intention
Today's challenge is all about community! Something that is SO important in this industry is to network and meet other makeup artists! Plus, this industry could use some positive community, right?!
So, your first part of this challenge: Join our Facebook Community "What It Takes Makeup Artistry Platform" and introduce yourself and use hashtag #imnewhere. Tell us anything! Where you're from, your fav thing about being a makeup artist, what type of work you do...etc.
The second part of this challenge is to choose a meditation to listen to for the next 5 DAYS! Yes: FIVE. DAYS. Trust me, this will change your woooorrrlld. I have created some suggestions for you that have more specific meaning or purposes and time frames.

Day 2 (Feb 16): Visualization
Day 2 is all about visualization! For today's challenge, you will be writing out your goals for the next 6 months, 1 year, and 5 years. Be specific! The more specific you can get, the better!
The second part of this challenge is to create a vision board of these goals you have. You can either do this on Pinterest or you can get super crafty (like I love to do), and create a vision board on either a cork board or on a poster board. You have the option to share this on social media as one of the ways to enter yourself in the challenge drawing. Post a photo on either Instagram ( make sure to tag us and use #whatittakesfchallenge) or Facebook in the Facebook Group.
OPTIONAL CHALLENGE: Create a makeup that showcases the feelings you got while writing out your goals and/or creating your vision board. Can't wait to see what some of you create!!! <3 Make sure to share this if you end up doing it so we can see your awesome skills and also for a 2nd entry for the challenge drawing!!
Day 3 (Feb 17): Inspiration
Day 3 is all about inspiration! I Have carefully chosen 3 extremely inspiring videos for you to watch and get super inspired by! After watching the video, the second part of your challenge today is to choose 1 inspiration quote and share it with us over in the Facebook group! You can simply post the quote, or you can get fun and creative with it by doing a graphic that includes your quote.

Day 4 (Feb 18): Pain
One of the most common areas of pain for artists is back pain! This challenge is all about taking care of our backs so we can ensure a lifelong career in the makeup industry! Because...I mean... we NEED our backs in order to function. And our knees and feet to function at their best for us to do our jobs, as well!
Watch and participate in one of the yoga videos below. You are more than welcome to share your experience in the Facebook group, but it is optional.
2nd part of this challenge is to create an AWESOME pain inflicting wound or injury on yourself or someone else. To enter in the Challenge Drawing, make sure to post your masterpieces on either Instagram (and tag us + use #whatittakeschallenge), or in the Facebook Group and use #whatittakeschallenge

Day 5 (Feb 19): Affirmations
Affirmations are AMAZING! Sometimes they seem cheesy...but they totally work, as crazy as it might seem. But first things first: we need to acknowledge all of the negative self talk so that our affirmations can work at 110%!
First part of the challenge: Write out in a journal, on your phone, or on a scrap piece of paper some of negative the things you tell yourself. Even set a timer on for 15 minutes and just let your pen GO! It will be so freeing, its a pretty cool experience when we are being honest with ourselves during this type of challenge.
Second part is to choose an affirmation! Create a fun photo graphic to keep on your phone as the home page/screensaver so you see it all the time. You could also write this on a sticky note and stick it to your mirror or dashboard in your car. Wherever!
This challenge is optional to share with everyone via social media! We totally respect that exercises such as this can be entirely personal, so no worries! Those who choose to share will have their names put in the drawing for the grand prize!
